The Ranch is a Drive/Dynamic Tremolo/Boost pedal whose gorgeous tone, whatever the setting, is only matched by the beautifully crafted ecological casing used to house this effect pedal, which is made of Walnut and Pinatex.

The effect itself is designed to be very dependent on the dynamic of your playing. It consists of three separate effects – drive, tremolo and boost, which can be used separate or together using the “toggle” switches at the bottom of the pedal. Right toggle is on/off for the drive, left toggle is a switch between trem, boost or both! The tremolo and boost can be adjusted from inside the pedal casing. Keep in mind its a dynamic tremolo – the harder you hit the strings, the faster it oscillates!

Drive has the adjustment knobs we all want :

• Dust – the amount of drive – from smooth to huge distortion
• Bright – a tone type knob that adds mids and highs to break through the mix
• Strength – volume knob that …well…you know….!

The American Walnut casing is sourced in Europe to reduce carbon footprint and creates a special foundation in aesthetic due to the interesting and unique graining in each pedal. Pinatex evokes the look of leather, but is made of pineapple fibers to avoid hurting animals. Polished with linseed oil with no use of chemicals, this is an very good example of ecological manufacturing in the pedal industry!

From Collision: “Linseed oil allows to protect the wood. We advise you to pass an extra oil layer each year to preserve your pedal for a long long time. We provide a little can of wax to better protect The Ranch and to make it sparkle. It is made by us in our workshop with beeswax and linseed oil. The beeswax comes from a local beekeeper. We also provide a little pad to apply the wax. These pads are made by hand by the wonderful BCFQ here in Angers. Each pad is GOTS certified (ecology and social responsibility).”
