Great
pedal, very light, very simple, powerful, versatile, can be your only
overdrive and it runs on a 9V battery, it doesn't get any more
minimalist than this. Be aware that is has a fantastical amount of GAIN, this pedal brings out harmonics by being loud, it does not excel at bedroomy sound pressure levels, and to be frank, neither do most old tube amps, turning them down makes them sound fizzy and lacking in bass.
When the factory literature says "Blast your amp" they don't kid around, it's made to rock hard with a band. I'm too old for this pedal.
Carbon Zinc 9V installed, old time lore says it sounds
better like that, especially as the battery starts to wear down, the
tone king of sags like an old Tweed amp with tube rectifier.
In really nice ungigged condition pet free smoke free home studio.
From the website, since other sites claim others claim it's "creamy and mild", and it can be, but it can actually really crank.
The Interstellar Overdriver is a true overdrive pedal, designed to blast your amp with
your sound.
Beautifully transparent and based around a discrete circuit, this pedal
is all about the natural, wonderful sound of turning an amp up too
loud. It's specifically constructed to work the same way as old tube
amps - the more you turn it up, the better it sounds. The drive knob
sweeps from a slight boost to a beautiful, harmonically rich overdrive.
For more control, kick back the output volume with the MASTER knob while
retaining the sweetness. There are a lot of pedals out there attempting
to do this simple, beautiful thing, but this one is the best.
CONTROLS
Master: Output volume of the effect.
