The Emerson Custom Pomeroy is a 2 channel distortion/overdrive/boost pedal. The first channel gives you a choice of 6 different clipping emulations, gain, clean/distortion blend, low/mid/high active tone, and master volume controls. The gain structure isn't too heavy-handed, so you won't get that mondo-distorto metal sludge from it. However, if will make your single pickup guitar SQUEAL.
The second channel is the boost channel. The low/high switch can give you up to 12 dB and 24 dB of super clean volume boost. Using the level knob and the 2 digit LED readout, you can zero in on just how much boost you want. The boost section is hardwired after the overdrive section, because that's the way Emerson Custom says it should be. So there.
On the back, along with the power (9 vdc, center neg) and in and out jacks, there's an insert jack, so you can insert your favorite effects. I didn't test the insert jack out, so I assume the insert point is between the two channels. Other highlights include clickless true bypass and a 100% analog signal path. The pedal is in excellent shape. No scrapes, scratches, tape goop - clean as a whistle. Runs on external power only, which is not supplied.
I'm not much of a Boost/OD pedal guy, but this REALLY impressed me. But I'm still gonna sell it.
