Taichi Overdrive is an electric guitar overdrive pedal that provides slightly more compression and sustain than the Tauren pedal. With low gain, you can get an extremely slightly over-the-top effect, adding warmth and softness to your electric guitar. At higher gain settings, distortion increases and the electric guitar tone becomes more sustained. The tone is saturated without losing the open and warm tone that we know from a pure tube amp.

To make the Taichi more visible on the pedalboard, Joyo has equipped the pedal with LED lights on the bottom and top of the pedal housing. The light can be controlled via a switch on the back of the pedal where there are 2 different lighting modes to choose from as well as turn off when you need to save battery.
