This is our Klone of a ridiculously popular overdrive circuit that's been cloned by many others. We used a couple of 1N34A germanium diodes because we like how they sound when you crank the gain. You can use this pedal as a clean boost, but we really like it as a medium gain overdrive. Don't think too much about why it's called an Outlaw Horse Monkey. They're probably not even real. This pedal requires a 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel.
